2. Introduction of PETG material and board PET board extrusion line
PET board production linePETG, the full English name Poly (ethylene terephthalate-1,
4-cylclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate), is a transparent,
non-crystalline copolyester. The performance of PETG is not the
same as PET.
PETG sheet has outstanding toughness and high impact strength. Its
impact strength is 3-10 times that of modified polyacrylates.
Compared with APET, it has a wide processing range, high mechanical
strength excellent flexibility, high transparency, good gloss, easy
printing and environmental protection.
While PETG sheet has the characteristics of APET sheet, its major
features are outstanding heat sealing performance, easy operation
during sealing and reliable heat sealing quality. Compared with
APET, PETG won't be crystallized even under a very high molding
temperature.For vacuum forming, even clear contours of complex
geometric shapes can be obtained. However, due to its relatively
high price, the application is subject to certain restrictions.
The chemical stability of PETG is the same as that of APET.

(1) Chemical resistance
PETG sheet can withstand a variety of chemicals and commonly used
cleaning agents.
(2) Environmental friendly
The PETG sheet substrates are all environmentally friendly
materials, which meet the requirements of food contact management.
(3) Economy PET board extrusion line PET board production line
It is cheaper than PC board and more durable than acrylic.
Thermoformability PETG sheets are easy to produce products with complex shapes and
large stretch ratios. Moreover, unlike PC board and impact-modified
acrylic, this board does not need to be pre-dried before
thermoforming. Compared with PC board or acrylic, its molding cycle
is short, the temperature is low, and the yield is higher.
(4) Toughness
The extruded sheet of PETG sheet is usually 15 to 20 times tougher
than general acrylic and 5 to 10 times tougher than impact modified
acrylic. PETG sheet has sufficient bearing capacity during
processing, transportation and use, which helps prevent cracking.
(5) Weather resistance
PETG sheet provides excellent weather resistance. It can maintain
the toughness of the product and prevent yellowing. It contains
ultraviolet absorbers, which can be co-extruded into a protective
layer to protect the board from the harmful effects of ultraviolet
rays.
(6) Easy to process
PETG sheet can be sawed, die-cut, drilled, punched, sheared,
riveted, milled and cold-formed without breaking. Slight scratches
on the surface can be eliminated with a hot air gun. Solvent
bonding is also a normal operation. It is easier to process than
general acrylic, impact modified acrylic or PC board, and can be
processed for flocking, electroplating, static electricity and
other processing.
